Bottle of rounded rectangular form carved from translucent, highly-polished, amber-colored chalcedony with a slightly concave lip and straight neck. The piece has been well-hollowed through the narrow mouth with only the edges of the shoulders being left intact, and an oval foot rim with a recessed flat foot. There is an internal crack or fissure within the material that extends across much of the foot; it is somewhat visible but does not effect the stability/integrity of the material, and may date from the original manufacture of the bottle. The hardstone stopper has a very nice imitation ivory spoon.
