Bubble-suffused glass bottle with translucent red overlay. The first side depicts a scholar and an attendant walking away from a house that is perched upon a rocky outcropping. Above them flies a bat, and a branch of prunus and pine frame the scene from either side. The reverse side depicts a man riding upon a water buffalo/ox approaching the house from the opposite side, traveling under a branch of the same prunus tree. The lip is flat and the base has a thick oval foot ring, carved to reveal the slightly convex shape of the off-white body. The stopper is nephrite with a vinyl type collar, and the spoon is stained bone.
